CABflex 3

Leading measuring software for high-speed balancing of shaft-elastic rotors.

Balance shaft-elastic rotors with high precision, efficiently and at operating speed

CABflex3 is the latest generation of our measuring software for high-speed balancing of shaft-elastic rotors such as rollers, compressors, generators or steam turbines. It enables high-precision, fast and efficient balancing of elastic rotors.

Functions and operation

Low-speed pre-balancing

High-speed balancing at operating speed

Dynamic straightening of elastic rotors

Software solutions for efficient data management and analysis

Wide range of analysis options The CABflex 3 expert system makes it possible to record and save measured values as raw data. This ensures that data can also be analysed flexibly after the measurement run. In addition, the configurable number of channels allows a wide variety of pickups to be connected to the system. In addition to the correction weights calculated according to the influence coefficient method, various analyses such as Bode and Nyquist diagrams are available. Further evaluations, such as modal residual unbalance, shaft path, runout profile, FFT analysis package, bending line as well as correction optimisation and prediction, are available in the expert system. Network capability and remote diagnostics features are also part of the scope of services.

Metrological
innovations for rotor analysis
On the measurement side, non-contact sensors can be used to measure the shaft movement in addition to the installed pickups for unbalance measurement. This enables the rotor behavior in plain bearings to be investigated. The deflection can be precisely determined at significant points, such as heavily overhanging shaft parts or the centre of the rotor.

Software options for
extended functionality
When using CABflex 3, the operator is guided through the process in a simple and understandable way. They can select exactly the logging options they need from a pool of pre-set options and configure them individually. Other software options developed by Schenck offer users additional possibilities. For example, analysing the frequency spectrum: By breaking down the spectrum into its components, the operator can draw conclusions about the vibration behaviour. The graphical representation takes the form of a waterfall diagram.

Effective evaluation of rotor behaviour with Thermotest With Thermotest, operators can analyse the vibration behaviour of the rotor in relation to the temperature. The software allows the rotor bending line to be visualised near natural frequencies, providing a quick assessment of the compensation planes. The shaft path display provides important information on the behaviour of the rotor in the journal bearing. The run-out profile helps to measure the pole cap expansion and the residual vibration can be calculated in advance to save time during further measurement runs.
