Axle Drives
With our balancing machines for front and rear axle transmissions, the measured unbalance is corrected by drilling into the drive flanges of the transmissions (welding optional). We support you with our interdisciplinary expertise in the production of front and rear axle transmissions - from the initial idea to the design stage through to series production.

Variable concepts for better results We can rely on specially developed machine configurations for the various customer requirements, which enable us to measure everything from small rear axle transmissions to complete rear axle modules. Depending on the axle type, the measuring runs are carried out at speeds of 1000 to 3500 rpm¹. The automatic docking of the drive to the axle drive is carried out by means of camera-supported detection of the position of the axle drive flange. The traceable information of the exact flange position also enables our measuring system to work with forbidden zones for the equalisation calculation. The resulting centring error of the drive shaft on the axle drive is compensated by means of dummy mass balancing. This compensation is included in the balancing of the gearbox in order to fulfil the very high quality requirements of the automotive industry.
Customised individuality The machine design is precisely tailored to the task at hand. The arrangement of the assemblies has been designed with ergonomic aspects in mind to ensure easy handling. Depending on the application, subcritical or supercritical measuring setups are used. Customised balancing subframes ensure precise measurement of vibration and balancing forces. Overall, this design ensures efficient, accurate and ergonomic operation.

Automated solution for gearbox balancing The pneumatic gearbox clamping units securely hold the gearbox in place during the balancing process. The automatic drive unit with active clamping device clamps the flange of the axle drive with high precision and repeat accuracy. The balancing unit with coupled high-performance chip extractor allows automatic bore levelling on the axle drive flange with the least possible contamination of the machine. Overall, this fully automated system enables a precise, efficient and clean unbalance correction solution.
