The duration and content of an internship may vary. Local internships are generally 10-12 weeks during the summer months.  Interns are paid and receive statutory sick leave. Topics may vary season to season. We’ll do our best to fulfill any specific university requirements.

“Hands-on”: our university internships let you put what you’ve learnt into practice. 

Our range of internships are intended for:

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university. 
  • GPA 3.0 or better. 
  • Be in good standing. 
  • Junior status or higher.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Some experience or involvement in subject area is helpful (i.e. projects, internships, campus jobs, clubs, etc.)
  • Genuine interest and passion for the career path/major.

Apprenticeship Programs and Cooperative Education (Co-op) at Schenck

  • If your application is accepted, you may be contacted by HR for a preliminary screening.
  • From there, the final candidates are referred to hiring manager for technical or subject matter interview. These could be virtual or in-person.
  • Subsequent interviews may follow, including further discussions and/or on site interview.
  • Managers and HR review all candidates, and once a decision is made, HR will reach out to extend an offer of employment.
  • Once you have officially accepted, your start date and onboarding will be scheduled. This will include background and drug screening.
