Turning good products into excellent products – this is our passion and our promise: our technologically leading balancing solutions facilitate safe, resource-efficient manufacturing of products used by billions of people every day. Find out more about us and our success story.

Our vision Our sustainable solutions drive resource efficiency to peak levels in the mechanical engineering sector. For our customers, for society and for the environment.

About us

What we stand for

We combine economic efficiency with sustainability.

Balancing means high productivity, long service life and lived sustainability. Because precisely balanced parts work more efficiently, thus saving valuable resources. This applies equally to precision dental turbines or car steering wheels, aircraft engines or power plant turbines.

We take this responsibility very seriously and guarantee uncompromising quality, sustainable solutions and comprehensive service throughout the entire service life of your product.

From pioneer to global player

History of Schenck USA corp.

Schenck was founded in Darmstadt, Germany in 1881 as a manufacturer of scales and weighing devices and soon became a pioneer in dynamic balancing and testing equipment. After World War II, Schenck was represented in the United States by Cosa Corporation, a machine tool importing company. In 1964, Schenck discontinued the cooperation with Cosa, and incorporated in New York as Schenck Machinery , U.S.,Inc.

Schenck RoTec presents VentuoVal for automatic valve assembly

With the new VentuoVal system, Schenck introduces an automatic solution for valve assembly in the field of wheel assembly production. The system is designed to handle a wide variety of rim and valve variants, thereby supporting the demands of modern production lines. Thanks to different combinations of dimensions, colors, surface finishes, and valve types, more than 10,000 variants can be generated quickly. VentuoVal operates this extensive range of variants within the system.

Evolution from Manual to Automated Production
Since the introduction of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), valve assembly has become more complex. Previously, screw-in, rubber and snap-in TPMS valves were assembled manually and with auxiliary aids due to technical limitations, which increased the risk of faults. VentuoVal automates this process with maximum availability. The system recognizes different valve types, positing the valves based on geometrically data measured in the system and screws them in with a specified torque. It can also process rubber and snap-in TPMS valves.

Technical Basis and Workflow
The system uses robots in a master-slave configuration, laser-based 3D measuring and AI-based image processing. After the rim is clamped, the valve hole is scanned using a 3D measurement system. The robot is then positioned in the optimal position to the valve hole considering geometric manufacturing tolerances for the valve assembly.  A second robot screws the valve in place as per specification. A third robot provides the required valves from the feeding system in sequence.

Production Environment and Application
VentuoVal is designed for high volume production with short cycle times: up to 300 complete wheels can be processed per hour. The solution was originally developed for a well-known OEM customer. The first system is set into operation in summer 2024 and achieves availability rates of over 99 percent!
The system is tailored for Tier-One suppliers and vehicle manufacturers who handle complete wheel production themselves. It accounts for complex logistics and enables full automation of modern production lines.

Positioning within the Ventuo Product Portfolio
VentuoVal is part of Schenck RoTec’s Ventuo product line, which addresses various process steps in wheel manufacturing: valve assembly (Val), balancing (Bal), tire filling (Inf), tire mounting (Mount), and unbalance correction (Corr).
With VentuoVal an automatic, standardized, and highly flexible solution for valve assembly is offered, designed to meet current production demands and capable of flexible integration into existing manufacturing lines.
