Dynamic Spin Rigs
Dynamic Spin Rigs are specialized test systems designed to simulate real-world operating conditions for rotating parts such as turbine disks, rotors, compressor wheels, and assembled bladed disks. By subjecting components to high rotational forces, thermal cycling, and dynamic excitation, these test rigs allow for comprehensive evaluation of material performance, structural integrity, and vibration characteristics—long before components are introduced into field operation.
Efficient solutions for spin testing
Precision in Rotational Testing Dynamic Spin Rigs set the industry standard for advanced, high-speed rotational testing of components under realistic operational loads and environmental conditions. With a proven history of performance and reliability, our spin rigs are essential for development, validation, and research of the next generation of turbines, rotors, and structural components.

Centrio
Schenck Centrio centrifugal test rigs are used to test rotating components in a centrifugal field. These are proven test rigs that are indispensable for the development, manufacture, and quality assurance of rotors in the field of green technology. The main areas of application are: material strengthening, strength testing, burst testing, LCF testing (long-term fatigue testing), and HCF testing.
The test rig contains a vacuum-tight container with integrated burst protection. This is dimensioned by Schenck to absorb the expected fragment energy when a rotor bursts.
- Maximum rotor weight: up to 6,300 kg
- Maximum rotor diameter: up to 2,700 mm
- Maximum rotor length: up to 2,250 mm
- Maximum speed: up to 250,000 rpm

CAST 2
CAST 2 is the main system which collects, analyses, and monitors measured data and parameters.
Control and measurement data acquisition for spin test systems
CAST 2 collects and analyzes measurement data and monitors all parameters. It supports up to 64 analog and digital measurement channels, e.g., for speed, shaft vibration, vacuum, and temperature. In addition, CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of spin tests and test cycles. Furthermore, it offers convenient visualization of all measured values in online and offline mode.
Sophisticated test schedules with CAST 2
CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of spin tests and test cycles by transferring user specifications for speed, heating steps, and vacuum to the machine control system. The software can record and process a wide range of sensor values and display them in individual diagrams.
Intuitive handling of measurement data
CAST 2 provides convenient visualization of all measured values from a test run in a variety of diagrams with manual or automatic scaling, both in online and offline mode.
