Centrio

Rotating components are tested in centrifugal testing machines. These machines are indispensable for
the development, manufacture, and quality assurance of e-mobility rotors, engines, turbines, turbo
compressors, turbochargers, fans, couplings, and grinding wheels. The Centrio combines innovative ideas
with our experience, offering lower noise emissions, low energy consumption, space-saving design,
and ergonomic operation.

Efficient solutions for spin testing

Main areas of application for Centrio The main areas of application include various fields of material and component testing. This includes material strengthening by acceleration up to the flow range in order to investigate behavior under high loads. Strength tests at high speeds ensure quality, while burst tests can determine the breaking strength of new materials and designs. Furthermore, LCF tests are used to analyze the material fatigue of the test specimen and determine its service life under changing loads. In addition, HCF tests are used on engine parts to test their behavior under real operating conditions and ensure the reliability of the components.

Powerful and space-saving The noise emissions of our centrifugal test benches have been significantly reduced through the targeted selection of noise-optimized components, insulation, and encapsulation. The CENTRIO achieves a sound pressure level of only 75 dB, meaning that the CENTRIO100 can be operated without additional soundproofing measures. In addition, the new centrifugal test bench is around 10% more compact than its predecessor, can be easily integrated into existing premises, and saves valuable space.

Robust, vacuum-tight housing design The test bench has a vacuum-tight container with burst protection that absorbs the fragment energy when the rotor bursts. Up to size Centrio 100, the container stands freely in the room; from Centrio 150 onwards, it is partially recessed to improve handling. The lid is designed for high internal pressures and secured with automatic locking against fragment energy and dust explosions. Various sound insulation options are available to adapt noise emissions to the test application and location.

Centrio

Schenck Centrio centrifugal test rigs are used to test rotating components in a centrifugal field. These are proven test rigs that are indispensable for the development, manufacture, and quality assurance of rotors in the field of green technology. The main areas of application are: material consolidation, strength testing, burst testing, LCF testing (long-term fatigue testing), and HCF testing.
The test rig contains a vacuum-tight container with integrated burst protection. This is dimensioned by Schenck to absorb the expected fragment energy when a rotor bursts.

Centrifugal testing – Spin stand systems for research, development, and production When rotors are subjected to high centrifugal forces during operation, you need to be sure that they will not permanently deform or burst. This gives you the security you need to operate your rotors. We carry out a wide range of necessary tests on your rotating components for new and further developments or as part of quality assurance.

CAST 2

For controlling and monitoring your measurement data for optimal processes and quality

Control and measurement data acquisition for centrifuge stands

Control and measurement data acquisition for centrifuge stands

CAST 2 is the central system on a spin test rig that collects and analyzes measurement data and monitors all parameters. It supports up to 64 analog and digital measurement channels, e.g., for speed, shaft vibration, vacuum, and temperature. In addition, CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of spin tests and test cycles. Furthermore, it offers convenient visualization of all measured values in online and offline mode.

Precise rollover tests with CAST 2

CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of spin tests and test cycles by transferring user specifications for speed, heating steps, and vacuum to the machine control system. The software can record and process a wide range of sensor values at a sampling rate of up to 10 Hz and display them in diagrams.

Intuitive display of measurement data

CAST 2 provides convenient visualization of all measured values from a test run in a variety of diagrams with manual or automatic scaling, both in online and offline mode.
