Manually operated balancing machines

Precision and versatility for all requirements

Horizontal balancing machines

Our manual horizontal balancing machines enable precise balancing of various horizontally mounted rotors. They are suitable for roller and disc-shaped rotors of various sizes and offer high availability and measurement accuracy. Thanks to their modular design, the Pasio and HM series can be flexibly adapted to various balancing tasks.

The rotors are mounted on rotor journals in adjustable roller bearings; plain bearings can also be used if required. For rotors with high torque, a gearbox with a drive shaft is used, while a belt drive is also possible for light, smooth rotors.

Vertical balancing machines

Schenck's manual vertical balancing machines are specially designed for balancing disc-shaped rotors without their own bearing journals, such as fans, compressors, pumps, clutch or belt pulleys. Our vertical machines, e.g. from the Virio series, offer high availability, permanent calibration, and precise measurement.

They are suitable for imbalance measurement, imbalance compensation in production, incoming inspection, or rebalancing. In addition, you can expand your Schenck vertical balancing machine with systems for imbalance correction to make the process even more efficient.

Static balancing machines

Our non-rotating (static) balancing machines enable quick and easy measurement of imbalance in disc-shaped objects such as grinding wheels, propellers, brake discs, railway wheels, and pump impellers. Measuring at a standstill saves ramp-up and braking times, which reduces protective devices and drive costs. A simple, inexpensive centering device is sufficient.

They are ideal for imbalance measurement, imbalance compensation in production, incoming inspection, and rebalancing. In addition, the Schenck Taro and ESX models automatically determine the workpiece weight.

Pasio

The Pasio series offers high-precision imbalance detection and accurate balancing, thanks to expertly coordinated components like machine beds, drive systems, and control units. With advanced mechanics and measurement technology, residual imbalances are minimized to 0.1 gmm to 1.5 gmm per plane, ensuring maximum precision.

Designed for quick setup, easy integration, and ergonomic operation, these versatile balancing machines have a small footprint for flexible placement in your factory. They feature Schenck ONE software for reliable, transparent balancing, and an intuitive user interface that enables error-free operation, tool-free changeovers, and efficient workflows.

HM

The HM series universal balancing machines offer high precision and flexibility for balancing horizontally mounted rotors, suitable for small workshops and high-volume manufacturers alike. Their modular design and wide range of accessories allow customization for single rotors or small series, ensuring long-term investment value.

These machines can be equipped with different drives: the belt drive (BU) provides smooth operation and versatility, while the shaft drive (U) offers higher power, allowing for adaptable and efficient balancing solutions.

Virio

Virio vertical balancing machines are ideal for disc- or pot-shaped rotors without shafts, such as brake discs, impellers, fans, and flywheels. Their clamp system on a precision spindle allows quick handling without special auxiliary shafts. Permanently calibrated, Virio balancing machines enable simple balancing: insert the rotor, input data, start measurement, and perform balancing—all in a few steps. Unbalance values are displayed early, eliminating lengthy calibration.

Designed for practicality, Virio offers flexible, cost-effective solutions for workshops, repairs, or series production, ensuring efficient, reliable rotor balancing.

DH Test Facilities

Schenck is the global leader in high-speed specialized balancing systems for large power plant turbines, generators, high-speed compressors, industrial steam and gas turbines, and the complex testing of engine components in the aerospace industry. Through ongoing collaboration with our customers, we continuously enhance our DH series. These high-speed balancing and overspeed testing facilities are engineered for testing turbines, generators, and compressors at operational speeds. The Schenck CABflex3 measurement system is employed in these setups to precisely balance and analyze the behavior of flexible rotors.

Airlines & Aerospace

Proper balancing is key to profitability. Our machines, torque testers, and Bladis 4 software reduce rotor vibrations, boosting drive longevity and efficiency. Schenck Tooling offers precise handling solutions for components and rotors, including gas turbines.

Our horizontal balancing machines comply with SAE ARP 4048 standards and are easily expandable. For jet engine discs and spacer rings, our vertical balancing machines provide high accuracy and permanent calibration, with options for single- or two-plane balancing.

The new torque testers optimize blade distribution by accurately measuring mass, torque, and center of gravity, supporting aerospace needs.

With nearly 50 years of experience, Schenck RoTec is a leader in aerospace, specializing in testing and manufacturing critical rotating components for satellites, rockets, jet engines, and electric motors—delivering innovative solutions and expert service from prototype to production.

Taro & ESx

Our static balancing machines offer a cost-effective solution for balancing simple, disc-shaped rotors. They utilize a unique measuring principle with three high-precision load cells, enabling true permanent calibration without adjustment.

The ESx series comes in two versions for different applications, featuring easy-to-use rotor holders, tolerance limit indicators, and quick calibration data storage at the push of a button.

Taro, our advanced static scale, is designed for rotor weights from 200 to 3,600 kg. It quickly and accurately measures unbalance and weight in disc-shaped rotors like railway wheels, propellers, grinding wheels, and pump rotors. Its non-rotational, static measurement requires no protective device and can be seamlessly integrated into manual or automated processes.
