CAST 2
Cast 2 controls and monitors the measurement data from our spin tester to ensure optimal processes and quality.

Control and measurement data acquisition for our centrifuge stands
CAST 2 is the central system on a centrifuge stand that records and analyses measurement data and monitors all parameters. It supports up to 64 analogue and digital measurement channels, e.g. for speed, shaft vibration, vacuum and temperature. In addition, CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of centrifuge tests and test cycles. Furthermore, it offers convenient visualisation of all measured values in online and offline mode.
Advantages at a glance
Test cycle
Simple and intuitive definition of a test cycle
Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of all safety-related parameters
Sensor data
Live view of the sensor data used
Scaling of measured values
Manual or automatic scaling of measured values
Process management
Enables fully automatic process control of rotational tests and test cycles
Visualisation
Provides convenient visualisation of all measured values from a test run, both in online and offline mode.
Precise crash tests with CAST 2 CAST 2 enables fully automatic sequence control of spin tests and test cycles by transferring user specifications for speed, heating steps and vacuum to the machine control system. The software can record, process and display a wide range of sensor values at a sampling rate of up to 10 Hz in diagrams. CAST 2 offers convenient visualisation of all measured values from a test run in a variety of diagrams with manual or automatic scaling, both in online and offline mode.

Upgrade to CAST 2 now The CAST 2 protocol system and M385pro speed controller form an upgrade package for centrifuge stands with older CAST systems running Windows XP or Windows 7. Customers can cost-effectively switch from old PC hardware and discontinued Windows versions to the latest CAST 2 software and modern Windows 10-based PC hardware. The package includes a new PC with Windows 10, the latest CAST 2 software, new speed controller electronics and interface electronics for connection to the existing sintering test machine PLC.

Functions and operation
Material consolidation
by accelerating the test specimen into the flow range of the material
Strength test
at speeds above the operating speed within the scope of quality assurance
Burst tests
of test specimens in the context of new developments and further developments
LCF tests (creep tests)
Short-term fatigue test to examine material fatigue in the test specimen
HCF tests
Determination of the fatigue strength of a material at high cycle counts and low loads
Cycle test
Simulation of rotor behaviour over its operating life
