Transfer Balancing Machine for Crankshafts (Inline transport)
200 TBTK | 200 SBTK

Range of application
Measurement and correction of unbalance in machined passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle crankshafts.

Deployment of the machine for the highest capacity requirements in large-volume production, interfaced with production lines and with arbitrary in-feed and out-feed conveyors.

Unbalance correction by drilling into the counterweights in one or two correction steps.

Design
Multi-station machine with fully automatic operational sequence.

Modular machine design provides optimum adaptability to the application. Layout of the machine transverse or length-wise to the in-feed and out-feed conveyors. All stations of the machine covered by numerically controlled overhead lift-and-carry transport with coupled gripper carriage delivering crankshafts lengthwise to the machine. Short cycle times through NC-control, minimum mass movement and short travel distances.

Microprocessor-controlled measuring equipment for calculation of optimum correction. Software program for component or optimized correction and statistics.

Programmable machine control and diagnostic system with monitor display for shortening the machine downtime is standard (display in German, English, and other official EC languages, other languages are an extra-cost option).

ptional geometry measuring station for asymmetrical crankshafts for identification of crankshaft type and sampling of shaft journal geometry. This allows compensation of unbalance errors caused by positional deviations of the crank pins. The dynamic behaviour of the engine in later assembly is greatly improved.
Correction station in modular design with inclined drill units and electromechanical feed mechanism, easy access for change-over and maintenance work. Precise drill touch point signal and depth control. Drilling with coolant or oil. Completely enclosed clamping unit, thereby no contamination of the machine by coolant or chips. Chip removal either through under-floor chute or chip conveyor.
Unbalance measuring station with rugged and high-precision vibration system. Support of the crankshaft on rollers with hardened metal coating. With symmetrical crankshafts (e.g. in-line engines) drive is by driven rollers. With asymmetrical crankshafts (e.g. V-engines) a spindle-drive with hook-adapter is used. Missing crank masses are compensated for with a bob-weight eliminator.
